This paper attempts to explore the use of internet by LIS professionals of India for providing library support services during the crisis of COVID-19. For this purpose, an online questionnaire was designed using Google forms and sent to Indian Listserv ‒ ILOSC, NMLIS, LIS-Forum, and SALIS. The study finds that the majority of the LIS (Library and Information Science) professionals are providing library support services during the crisis of COVID-19 pandemic. The study also finds that LIS professionals were using all sorts of internet based communication tools even before the onset of COVID-19 pandemic. This seems to have helped the Indian LIS professionals in delivering services to the users. The study emphasizes further development and improvement of internet based communication tools for handling similar crisеs arising in the future.
