Library Plus Series

Abstract

In the introduction of the paper, the project “Library +ˮ is presented as a composite system and modular package that works on improving the LIS profession and bringing the professional skills and performance of librarians to a higher level. The paper presents a 20-year history of the Library Plus Series being a part of the package. All 12 titles published so far are briefly described. The author researched how many libraries in Serbia have this title and in how many copies. Which titles are part of the university curricula and which are on the reading lists for the librarian certification exam? Which titles and how many times are cited in periodicals? Findings lead to the conclusion that a series like this cannot successfully exist without substantial support from the professional community.
