Овај рад представља кратак увод у мобилне апликације и њихову употребу у библиотекама. У раду су приказане врсте мобилних апликација, затим мобилне апликације намењене библиотекарима и библиотечкој заједници. Истакнуте су специфичне апликације доступне библиотекарима уз кратак опис њихових карактеристика, предности и потенцијалних недостатака. Аутори су покушали да размотре и важна питања, као што су безбедност, поузданост, доступност и цена, којe библиотекари морају да имају на уму пре него што почну са употребом мобилних апликација у свом раду. У овом раду говори се такође о томе зашто користимо мобилне уређаје, а спомињу се и планови за будућност.
