Call for submission

The Editorial Board of Bibliotekar (M52), a scholarly journal dedicated to the theory and practice of librarianship, invites librarians, information specialists, archivists, bibliographers, and other interested professionals to submit their contributions, taking into account the journal’s structure and sections:

• Theme
• Practice (professional activities, cultural and educational programs in libraries, projects, and other current activities)
• Chronicle (papers related to the history of librarianship, library services, and related fields)
• Documents (guidelines, standards, manifestos, and other documents issued by national and international library institutions and organizations)
• Reviews (of publications, conferences, seminars, library exhibitions)

The theme of issue 2/2026 is:

• Open Access and Artificial Intelligence – a topic that aims to examine the impact of artificial intelligence on the frameworks and practices of open access in librarianship.

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically to the Secretary of the Serbian Library Association (sekretar.bds@gmail.com) or via the journal’s website (https://bibliotekar.bds.rs/index.php/1/en/information/authors) no later than 1 September 2026.

We welcome contributions that address their topic in a clear or original manner—whether through research, analytical-synthetic approaches, or scholarly debate—supporting arguments with concrete examples relevant to the professional community, as well as with appropriate scholarly literature.
